Favorite Places: LNC and Arlington, TX

So I have decided to choose 2 images for my favorite place and this first image was taken by me at an OU/TX basketball game from last year. It was my first time attending a sporting event that was broadcasted on cable tv. It was fun attending the game and watching Trae Young play before turning pro.

                                                                                                                                                                  This picture represents the place i grew up in. I spent a good amount of my childhood (1999-2002) in the city of Arlington,TX and it is a place that i hold dearly. I later moved to a city closer to it called Mansfield in 2002 but this city alone brings back the nostalgia of my childhood and all that i encountered growing up in Arlington every time i drive through the city. Music, Television, Technology, the trends in clothing are what i mostly remember and developed a passion for while living in an apartment with my family. It was truly a blessing.

    I am from Texas too, Charlton! I was born in Austin, although we moved around a lot, so I only lived there for a few years. But my parents moved back to Austin when my dad retired, so I am in Texas a lot. There is a unit in the UnTextbook for class on the legends of the Tejas people from whom the state of Texas gets its name: you can take a look at that net week when you are browsing the UnTextbook!

Week 12 Story: The Tale of O'Reilly

There once was a man named O'Reilly who lived in the town of Apollonia with his wife, Meredith. They were living in the poorest section of the town and had spent days and nights wishing that money would fall into their lap. One morning before going to work, O'Reilly had awakened to the sound of a thud on the front door. O'Reilly then slid out of bed to see who or what has arrived on his porch and found an eviction notice before he could open the locks on the door.
