Learning Challenge: Sleep

For my Learning Challenge this week I read the article titled "Why Sleeping May Be More Important than Studying" and I was kind of shocked about the title at first because as a college student, studying is vital and if you don't study then you will fail. There are a lot of students that turn to alternate methods to balance sleeping and studying but in this article i found out some information that i would take into consideration the next time i am deciding whether or not to do an all nighter. The article confirmed that i already knew was that a person needs 6 to 8 hours of sleep so that the brain can be rejuvenated and can experience REM.  One thing i didn't know was that you can learn new languages after experiencing a good amount of sleep because the article mentioned that researchers in NY conducted a study and found that sleep can boost language acquisition skills in young children so in the future i would be curious to try this whenever i have children to see if this is true or not.
