Tech Tip: Typing Game

For my Tech Tip, I decided to play another typing game because the game I played last week not only helped me with typing but it also gave me a break from the typical blog post with an image blog. This week I played Typing Race Master and I had a hard time playing it because I would keep on typing words and nothing appeared and I would end up getting disqualified from the race everytime. As nerve-racking as it was, I admit that it was pretty funny.

Blog 4: Steampunk

   I think that steampunk, the 19th century, and science/technology go hand in hand because some of the inventions that were shown in the steampunk images serve as a sort of inspiration for modern inventions such as a motorcycle, computer, guns, etc. I wasn't aware of how much steampunk had an influence on the 19th century. Below is the image from the 19th century that was part of the steampunk era. Storybook Favorites

Witches of Oz I chose this storybook because while reading about it i felt like this was some sort of a spin off from the Wizard of Oz. I like the tone of the story because it depicts witches in a delightful and welcoming manner in particularly Princess Ozma. I feel like if i were to further go into reading the story that i would enjoy the part where they talk about the feast because she is inviting from witches from every direction to her castle to share stories. Also the image in the story depicting Ozma befriending Dorothy shows that Dorothy does not know what kind of evil could possibly lie ahead of her if she were to get involved with Ozma. Bedtime Stories The second storybook i chose dealt with bedtime stories. As a kid, i was not fortunate enough to experience being read a bedtime story before bed so i decided to check out this storybook so that when i grow older and have children of my own i would at least have the chance to read them stories before bed.
