Governor Bob of McCastland had a daughter named Amelia who was the definition of beauty and brains. She was on track to graduate medical school and work in the field after school which was typically expected. Back in her days as an undergrad student, Amelia was active in on-campus organizations and the Ms. McCastland pageant. She won the competition and by a landslide, to not that many folks' surprise. It was that day that a janitor named Sam decided that he will do whatever it takes for Amelia to be his wife. Sam went to the same university as Amelia but had to withdraw from the school due to financial reasons. Sam had been trying to get back into the school ever since he withdrew because he shared the same ambitions as Amelia but the obstacles that he faced were standing between him and her. Blog 4: Steampunk

   I think that steampunk, the 19th century, and science/technology go hand in hand because some of the inventions that were shown in the steampunk images serve as a sort of inspiration for modern inventions such as a motorcycle, computer, guns, etc. I wasn't aware of how much steampunk had an influence on the 19th century. Below is the image from the 19th century that was part of the steampunk era. Reading Notes: Celtic Fairy Tales Part A

For my reading notes, I examined the Celtic chapter of the unit and was astonished by the stories that were posted. I thought it was quite different from the previous units we studied so I carefully selected a few books in the chapter that caught my interest. The stories in the unit are written by Joseph Jacobs. The Shepherd of Myddvai This story starts out with a man in search of love and decides to visit a lake in his town. At this lake, he encounters three sisters who were very beautiful. He then had personal encounters with each of the three sisters. He had brought them bread but each made out of different textures and eventually, the last sister accepted the bread that the man had brought them.  I think this story is one that I could incorporate into my own adaptation because the elements that are mentioned in the story are mixed with humor and, in a sense, tragedy because the sister eventually leaves the man after giving him three chances not to lay a hand on her...
