Week 2:Topic Brainstorming

While browsing possible topics for brainstorming i came across very intriguing stories that i could potentially write about for my main project of choice. the 1st topic i chose to write about deals with OU Ghost Stories. What interested me in the topic was a variety of things from OU being the school i attend to some of the buildings that i have been in after hours so i wanted to know more about the background of a building being haunted. I find the backstories of some buildings amusing and what like to learn more about the exact times of when ghosts will appear. I would like to know more about the Walker Tower Woes and Roller Skatin Robby as they are the most intriguing stories to catch my eye and try to come up with my own story of a building that is not what it seems when no one is around.

For my 2nd choice of topic I decided to look at the topic of Tricksters because that category in particular also caught my eye because it shows how clever they really are as well as me loving stories that involve a good antagonist. The stories within the category that i would like to learn more about are Nanabozho and Reynard the Fox. The story would be set about a suave and charasmatic villain who spends his days charming and tricking others into getting what he wants until he meets his match unexpectedly. I would like to put a twist on the story and entertain the readers who love these types of stories.

My 3rd choice of topic brainstorming comes from the category of Food. Anyone whose everyone loves food. If it was possible, the only activity that some people wish humans could do all day non stop is eat food. A story i had in mind would deal with the food that is universally loved by many...Pizza! You can never go wrong with a slice of pizza, until the big topic of a certain topping that should or should not be on the pizza and that is pineapple. The current debate of pineapple/no pineapple could mean life or death for the main character of this story.

My final idea about topic brainstorming deals with the topic of Nursery Rhymes because it is a topic that i am familiar with since it is apart of a person's childhood. Everyone loves a good nursery rhyme and so i would like to retell a nursery rhyme that deals with Jack and Jill but with different characters. I would like to put my own twist to the old nursery rhyme that would have the same ending but different ways that lead to the ending.

Week 12 Story: The Tale of O'Reilly

There once was a man named O'Reilly who lived in the town of Apollonia with his wife, Meredith. They were living in the poorest section of the town and had spent days and nights wishing that money would fall into their lap. One morning before going to work, O'Reilly had awakened to the sound of a thud on the front door. O'Reilly then slid out of bed to see who or what has arrived on his porch and found an eviction notice before he could open the locks on the door.
